What counts as extenuating circumstances for a diploma extension?

Extenuating circumstances include serious illness, bereavement, maternity or paternity leave, and redundancy - all covered under our formal Extenuating Circumstances Policy.

  • Serious illness - your own or that of an immediate family member
  • Bereavement
  • Maternity or paternity leave
  • Redundancy or significant change in employment circumstances
